What changes from test to test is what you send back and what the report can tell you.

  • Water

    Best for
    Older pipes, a private well, or a change in taste or color.
    What you send back
    Filled bottles from the tap you drink from.
    What you learn
    Lead, copper, nitrate, hardness and pH for any tap. Arsenic on the bigger panels, bacteria on most well panels.

    Best for
    A musty smell, a past leak, or a home you are about to buy.
    What you send back
    A dust cloth, plus a swab or tape lift for any spot that worries you.
    What you learn
    The DNA of 36 mold species, which ones point to water damage, and what a visible spot is.

    Best for
    New materials in the home, a stuffy house, or a baseline before new filters or HVAC.
    What you send back
    A small sampler that sits in one room for a set time.

    Volatile organic compounds, formaldehyde, fine particles, humidity and carbon dioxide.

    A dust sample from your own vacuum, caught in the trap in the kit.

    Dust-mite, pet, pest and mold allergens, up to 14 analytes.

Stop 02

A small box at your door.

Everything you need is inside, labeled, and packed so nothing gets lost on the way back. The helicopter on the map is the fun part. The box is the useful part.

  • Cloth, swab, wipe, dust trap or bottle
  • Instructions card
  • Prepaid return label

Stop 03

About fifteen minutes.

  1. Read the card

    One page that shows where to sample and for how long.

  2. Take the sample

    Wipe, swab, vacuum or fill, depending on your test.

  3. Seal and send

    Seal the mailer and hand it to the carrier named on the prepaid label. We tell you when it lands.
