No. Every kit measures your home, not your body. Results are informational and never a diagnosis. If you have health questions, talk to your doctor and bring the report along if it helps.

No experience needed. Everything is in the box, except for allergen kits, where a dust trap fits onto your own household vacuum. The card inside shows exactly where to sample and for how long.

We do. Your results come back to us, we read them against your home and your reason for testing, and we write the report you get. If you want to talk it through, call or email us.

Kits go out in one to two business days. Standard shipping is $9.99 and takes five to seven business days. Orders of $500 or more ship free.

To U.S. addresses. A few tests have state-specific rules: mold kits cannot ship to Colorado, D.C., Florida, New Hampshire, New York or Texas, and a handful of states ask for a short acknowledgment when you order. We check your address before you pay.

Yes. Every kit includes a prepaid return label for sending your sample back. Nothing extra to pay.

You can cancel any time before it ships. Once a kit ships we cannot take it back, because an opened kit cannot give an accurate result. If it arrives damaged, send us a photo within seven business days and we replace it free.

No. There is no account to set up. Your receipt, shipping updates and report all go to the email you give us.

In the online shop, you pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, PayPal or Venmo at checkout. By phone, we send you a secure payment link from Stripe, so we never take card numbers over the phone. Either way, card details go straight to our payment processors; we never see them.

About fifteen minutes for most kits. Water kits are quickest (fill the bottles first thing in the morning). Dust and wipe samples take a little longer because you cover a measured area.

The same day if you can. Bacteria samples in particular have a clock on them. Seal it, stick on the prepaid label, and drop it off with the carrier on the label.

Call or email before you ship. Most slips are fine and we will tell you. If a sample really cannot be read, we will sort out a replacement.

The card in your kit says. As a rule: water from the tap you drink from, dust from the rooms you spend the most time in, wipes from the surfaces you would touch. If you are testing for a reason, sample where the worry is.

Yes. Each allergen kit is one sample, so order one kit per room you want to compare; each comes back with its own results. A mold dust test (ERMI, HERTSMI-2 or EMMA) reads the dust you collect as one whole-home sample.

It depends on the test. Mold dust DNA tests and drug residue wipes take about five business days after your sample arrives, and mold swabs and tape lifts about a week. Most water panels take seven to fourteen business days. Mycotoxin and specialty water panels can take two to three weeks. Ask us about any kit whose page shows no timing.

Often not. Many results end in a thorough clean and a re-test. When a remediation or repair is the right call, we say so.

Yes. Many people re-test after a fix, a move, or a season. Your earlier report makes the comparison easy.

You can share it with anyone you like. It is a record for your own decisions, not a certification. Some states have their own rules about who must take a sample for a real-estate transaction; where that applies, we say so on the kit page. If you need results for a sale, a court case or an insurance claim, talk to us before you order.

If a utility sends you a bill, start with a City Water panel. If you are on a private well, start with a Well Water panel; from Basic up it adds total coliform and E. coli, the checks nobody else is running for you.

On city water, Basic covers lead, copper, nitrate and what disinfection leaves behind; Standard adds arsenic, the rest of the regulated metals and volatile organics; Extended adds pesticides and herbicides. On a well, Basic adds bacteria to the metals and chemistry; Standard adds volatile organics; Extended adds farm chemicals. When in doubt, Standard.

Wells near septic systems, farms or old infrastructure can carry traces of medicines, hormones and personal-care products. These panels look for exactly that. The Well Water Wastewater Screen is the starting point; the Comprehensive Pharmaceutical Panel is the widest.

Each has its own kit. PFAS Complete covers the “forever chemicals” group. The Microplastics test counts and sizes plastic particles in your water. Neither is in the standard panels, so order them on their own or alongside one.

If you are on a city supply and testing to be sure, most people keep drinking it. If you are on a well you have never tested, or the water has changed in taste, color or smell, use bottled water until the report lands.

If you can see a spot, a swab or tape lift tells you what it is. If you cannot see anything but the house smells musty or had a leak, a dust DNA test (ERMI or HERTSMI-2) gives the whole-home picture.

ERMI reads the DNA of 36 mold species in your dust and gives an index score. ERMI +3 adds an extended score and a closer breakdown, for when a standard ERMI comes back borderline. HERTSMI-2 focuses on the five species most tied to water damage, so it is narrower and lower cost when that is the question.

Mycotoxins are compounds some molds make. The Comprehensive Mycotoxin Panel measures ten of them from a wipe of a surface where dust settles. EMMA pairs a water-damage mold DNA panel with a panel of more than 50 mycotoxins from one dust sample, so you see both the mold and its compounds.

Not to Colorado, D.C., Florida, New Hampshire, New York or Texas, where state licensing rules apply. California and Oklahoma orders need a short acknowledgment when you order. Everywhere else is fine.

A doctor tests your body. We test your home. Our panels measure the dust mite, pet, rodent and cockroach allergens in your dust, room by room, so you know where they collect. The two go well together, but ours never says anything about you.

Every panel starts with both dust mites, cat, dog and an Aspergillus mold allergen. The 7-panel adds cockroach and rat, the 8 adds mouse, the 9 adds Alternaria mold, the 10 adds cannabis, and the 14 adds four pollens. If one animal is the question, the single tests (cat, dog, mouse, rat, cockroach, dust mite, or mouse and rat together) cost less.

With your own household vacuum. The kit has a dust trap that fits on the hose; you vacuum the area the card shows you, like a mattress, a couch or a patch of carpet, for a few minutes. One kit is one sample.

Buying or renting a place with an unknown history, a check between tenants, a move-in baseline, or after a cleanup. Surfaces hold residue long after the activity stops.

The Full Panel screens a broad list of substances in one wipe. If you already know what you are looking for, the single-substance test costs less. Either way the sampling is the same wipe, taken per published cleanup guidance.

It means residue was present at the level we report. What that means for your situation, and what to do about it, is spelled out in the report. Some states set thresholds that require disclosure or licensed cleanup; where that applies, we tell you.

We keep the order essentials (name, address, email, phone) and your results. We never sell or trade them. We do not collect health information, and we ask you not to send any.

You, and the people at BioDwell who write your report. Our testing partner sees only what is on the sample form, never your payment details. We share a report with someone else only if you ask us to.
